A solid online review stream is one of the best ways to build a good image for your company, as well as to attract new leads. This might seem like a daunting task, but there are a few things you can do to make the process much more effective.
1| Pursue your happy customers
Ask for reviews only to clients that you know have a positive opinion of your company. You could do this by asking your employees which customers are the happiest or by asking customers yourself, before requesting public reviews.
2| Be personal
If at all possible, ask for the reviews in person. If you must do it through email, personalize the email and use a real email address. You want the email address to be one the client would recognize.
3| Be plain
Try using plain text emails instead of HTML. People are more likely to respond to something that seems more sincere and less "marketing."
4| Say my name, say my name
Address the customer by their name. If you use a genetic greeting, they may get the impression that you're sending a mass email and may seem less compelled to fulfill your request.
5| Be clear
Be very clear about what you want them to do. Include any necessary links and instructions so they can easily leave the reviews where you want them.
These simple steps can make a huge difference in your review collection campaign. If you need help setting up your review collection plan or any other aspect of marketing, send me a message. I'd be happy to help you take your company to the next level!
